Women are unique, aren’t they? Even the Creator revealed a surah in the Qur’an bearing their name. Yet humanity still hasn’t fully uncovered its mysteries. Have you ever studied the knowledge required to understand women? You will need wisdom and time to truly grasp it. I’m sure of that. You must study diligently to reach such understanding.
A woman’s nature is dynamic. One might imagine it along an invisible scale, like a number line, with balance as its center. On one side lie qualities of gentleness, beauty, and fragility; on the other, strength, courage, and power.
Her position on that line depends on how well her psychological (and most importantly, emotional) and physiological needs are fulfilled. When her environment nurtures those needs, she radiates the grace of a princess. But when it does not, she displays the resilience of a warrior.
Each point on that line represents the collective qualities of a group of women. Let me tell you about one such group, the women with chilled backs. At first glance, they may seem ordinary. It takes a sensitive soul to recognize them. Only after time might you notice that their smiles are not as warm as they once were.
These are women who no longer seek validation. Those who should have cared for them no longer acknowledge their presence. Their voices are dismissed as trivial. Their struggles are theirs alone to bear. On top of it all, they shoulder social responsibilities without complaint. They try to heal their wounds quietly, gathering what little warmth remains to share with others, until their own backs grow cold.
They are women forced into strength. Their hearts have been broken time and again in the same place. They are the backbone of their communities. Their stories are not fairy tales but chronicles of endurance. Their tears have long since turned into deep, weary sighs.
Their journey may seem overwhelming, but every journey carries a lesson.
May we find in their stories the inspiration to seek a deeper understanding of how God created women, with all their mystery, grace, and strength.
